If
you have read the online edition of Honest Man’s Philosophy (HMP), and read
most, or all of the articles on the Jovial Atheist website, you see both the
need and the hope that this information can and should be made available to as
many people as possible. For me this is a labor of love for my fellowman caught
up in the sticky traps of religion and superstition. It hurts me that mankind’s
spiritual quest is diverted and stagnated by these false religions. Atheism is
not disbelief in a God. Atheism is belief in yourself and belief in personal
development and betterment of all your circumstances. Atheism is the first step
you can take to free yourself from the falsehoods and diversions of life. It is
your first step to self-improvement, spiritual growth and happiness in the
midst of our troubles. Atheism is the real “Born Again” of your life.
I am neither
financially able nor fully informed on the available methods of advertising the
truths found on this site. The income I have comes from a small Social Security
check and a very small monthly payment on the bookstore I sold (in 2000) to a
very lovely and energetic lady. She will finish paying the store off in about
three years.
My
hope is that you will adopt the Jovial Atheist and make this website and the
book, Honest Man’s Philosophy, your own. Take up some of the responsibility for
getting this philosophy before the eyes of the public and the people who
desperately need the information found here. The first thing you can do is to
buy a personal copy for yourself. The cheapest price is from the publisher, Author House. As you can see, this is a
self-publishing firm and the cost of getting this book published was a good bit
over three thousand dollars ($3000). Hey, to me that is a massive amount of
money.
The next best
price is from Barns and Noble. Personally, I think the best way for advancing
the knowledge of this book is for you to buy it from a bookstore. This
encourages them to stock it as a regular item in their store. Ask for it in
every bookstore and library you enter even after you have your own copy. This
will help.
If you have a
website, please link to the Jovial
Atheist or make some nice remarks about the site and about Honest
Man’s Philosophy. I plan to link good sites to my site only by URL. So, if
you wish your link to be shown on the Jovial Atheist site send me an e-mail with your URL
to verify that.
If I had the
means, I would send a copy of HMP to every minister, politician, professor,
rabbi, priest, CEO, and celebrity in this country. But, sad to say, I can’t
even send copies to my friends. My own children have to buy their own copies.
No, I am not destitute but by myself, I cannot take the truths and information
found on this site to all those whose lives could be changed for the better by
it. Now you could send a copy to you friends or recommend it to them. If you
have some surplus money, you could send copies to those you feel could benefit
by HMP. I suggest you send copies to those you do not know anonymously. They
may not thank you now but they will thank you later after some of the
information has sunk into their brains and personality.
A small
classified ad might bring some results such as:
“Don’t miss
the book: Honest Mans Philosophy” or
“Have you
read: Honest Man’s Philosophy?” or
“Wake up and
live: www.jovialatheist.com” or use your own imagination.
If you know
some wealthy person who shows some sympathy toward clear thinking people like
Mr. Ted Turner or some professor in our colleges and universities, send them a
copy of HMP. Especially do we need to get HMP into the hands of our college
students. Send the students you know a copy.
We are simply
sowing the seeds of a better tomorrow. One day religions and superstitions will
be relegated to the back burner and indeed may be removed from our lives all
together by the new findings of our sciences, our understandings of the mind
and above all by a return to more moral thinking and acting.
What can you
do? You can simply do what you can. You will not get a star in your crown. But
then, you will not be burned at the stake either. You may even find new friends
who are clear thinkers and who will enjoy your company as you will enjoy
theirs. May you find kindred spirits with whom to celebrate life. May you help your
fellowman to live better and to think better. May you sleep well at night.
Thanks for any
help you can render!
